Jonas Elber is good at educating, communicating, and is professional. We were looking for an agent that would help us find a home in the highly sought-after neighborhood of the Spokane South Hill. We had qualified for a VA loan, and we knew many sellers weren’t even considering VA offers. We only had an average budget and home prices were going up quickly. Jonas worked hard to be our advocate and work with sellers’ agents. Jonas respected our budget. He strategized with us to put in our very best offer when we were up against several cash offers. Often my husband was working, so Jonas was there to point out every little thing wrong with the homes we viewed when all I could see was how pretty they were, if not practical. Jonas really listened to what we needed and played devil’s advocate when we needed to be talked down from a home that wouldn’t work for our family. In the end we got a lead on a home that was not even on the market quite yet. He went above and beyond what was required as an agent. Not being a first time home owner, I’d originally thought I might purchase on my own, until I realized how helpful that extra set of eyes can be on contracts, clarifying information with the seller and holding them to task to fulfill obligations. You won’t find a more conscientious realtor advocate than Jonas. His service does not stop once his commission is paid. If I’m ever in the market to buy again, Jonas is the first person I would go to. He’s helped one daughter’s family through two different home purchases and helped my son and his wife with their’s. I have never left a positive or negative review for any business on any platform, so the fact that I am taking the time to write Jonas a review speaks volumes. I can sum up the experience to this: Listen to what Jonas says, because he is right. Go with him through his process because the end result is worth it. We thought we loved a house and he pointed out all of the things we weren’t seeing. Looking back, those things would have ruined our experience living in our first home. Now we are in a house that is in a nice neighborhood and we didn’t over pay. That is one key here: in this hot market, he knows how to navigate the negotiating process. We have friends who were told by their realtor to come in $25k over asking and still lost the house. Jonas helped us keep our emotions under control and we got ours for asking. That’s not to say you will too, but he will know how to get the best price. All in all, Jonas does everything you want in a realtor, and does it in a timely and responsive manner. You cannot go wrong.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to attend a series on Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class through a scholarship offered by Jonas Elber. I always thought myself to be financially savvy having grown up with both my parents having business degree backgrounds, but in taking the course not only did I learn about consumer debt, but also how to make an effective every dollar budget, needs vs wants in our everyday life, and ways to effectively communicate about finances with my wife. Prior to the course, finances were a taboo subject between us, and something that I did on my own, but now we are not afraid to discuss this together and it has made our relationship much stronger and has made discussing money not a “scary thing.” We are currently working on erasing all consumer and student debt that we have and we are currently living like no one else, so we can live like no one else.
